Purpose

Fluently Flourish is a multifaceted brand promoting internal growth within education, mental health, and business from a culturally competent lens.  Individual, couple, and group therapy services are offered for those experiencing a range of mental health concerns.  Consultation and trainings are available for systems in search of trauma-informed practices as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion work.  Intersectionality is highlighted in all facets of this brand and culturally competent consult is our promise.

Falyn Taylor

Falyn Taylor (she/her) was born in Detroit, MI and raised in the Detroit metropolitan area. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the Clark Atlanta University, and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University.  Falyn is currently pursing her PhD in Educational Management at Hampton University to continue research on racial concerns and outcomes in education.  Falyn is a national certified counselor (NCC) and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri.  

Currently, Falyn is on staff as a counselor in the Relationship & Sexual Violence Center at Washington University in St. Louis.  In this role, she intentionally serves students who hold marginalized identities and have experienced relationship or sexual trauma.  Falyn also provides training regularly to staff, student, and faculty about anti-bias and trauma-informed care. 

Falyn’s research includes studying diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within education and student outcomes.  Anti-bias and anti-racist work in K-12 and higher education and it’s impact on students, families, staff, and stakeholders is her passion.  Falyn continues to work at the cross-sections of how societal factors impact mental health and education; promoting DEI.
